Vietnam is one of the most diverse countries on earth, boasting a kaleidoscope of exotic colours, majestic mountains, a spectacular coast line, fertile plains and tropical lowlands. This is a nation blessed with natural beauty. Add to this verdant and unique agriculture, bustling cities with street markets, and faded elegance from the French colonial era, there is certainly a host of things to do and see.
A country rich in culture, tradition and history, with a refreshing warmth and friendliness, where the people have put their war torn past behind them and are focused on a brighter future.

Sightseeing
Ho Chi Minh City, formally known as Saigon, and Vietnam’s commercial capital. We see the famous city landmarks including Notre Dame Cathedral, and travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels which became infamous during the Vietnam War.
We take a luxury cruise in Ha Long Bay which is considered to be Vietnam’s greatest natural wonder and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is certainly one of the many highlights of any tour to the country.

Agriculture
Agriculture, including, forestry and fishing is still very labour intensive and employs 47.4% of the population. Families in the north generally own a plot of land measuring only 360sq meters, where as in the south, land is more plentiful, families own larger plots of land of 10,000 sq meters.
Rice & coffee are Vietnam’s main exports and state owned enterprises have a significant role in the production, processing and distribution of these crops. More recently pork production has increased. Forestry is of major importance, mainly for the domestic market but deforestation is becoming an issue as demand rises
Sightseeing
Our trip in the Mekong Delta allows us the opportunity to explore this very fertile region of the country and visit an intriguing floating market, seeing first hand how life along the river is lived. Here we can appreciate how this mighty river is the ‘life blood’ of the area.
Great care has been taken to organise a pleasant balanced itinerary of agricultural, general interest and sightseeing visits.
