Our tour to Poland in 2024 includes the extraordinary historic city of Kraków, plus the lesser-known cities of Wroclaw and Zakopane.
Set in the heart of Europe, Poland has long been a bridge between east and west and is a country which has successfully made the transition from a centrally planned economy to a primarily market-based economy. Having largely escaped the economic downturn that so many other European countries have experienced in recent years.
Medieval towns with the horse drawn carts give way to contemporary developments, and outside the cities, forests, rivers and lakes make up the landscape making this a fascinating and unique country to visit.

Highlights
A country with a proud cultural heritage, Poland’s beauty can be admired both in its old cities and wild natural scenery. Many cities and towns have retained the charm and beauty of the “old town” from the medieval period. Kraków, Wroclaw & Zakopane all have magnificent buildings from different periods in history, giving each city its own individual character.

Sightseeing
Kraków is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Our tour will experience the varied history and culture of the country including some of the more turbulent events associated with World War II and the subsequent years when Poland was part of the USSR and its emergence from the cloak of the Soviet Union.
Agriculture
Agriculture and forestry are still important sectors of the Polish economy with over half of the country’s area being used for farming. Major crops include rye, wheat, barley and oats, with potatoes, sugar beet, flax, hops and fruit being grown in more specific areas.
Many smaller farms only produce sufficient food for their own use, with little, if any, left for income.
Our agricultural visits include a contrast of both large co-operative and smaller private farms, including livestock, arable and horticultural units.
Once more Bay Farm Tours scored
10 out of 10
with the Lake Garda holiday. I enjoyed every minute. The friendship and atmosphere amongst the group was exceptional.
Your Tour Manager never stopped working to make sure everything went according to plan, and it did, along with lots of fun and laughter, which made it
a wonderful tour
