In Dessau we take a gondola ride through a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Worlitz Garden Realm. The landscape is strewn with eccentric follies such as Europe’s only artificial volcano, at the centre of a lake and Rock Island topped by the pavilion. This certainly is a unique visit.

Agriculture
An area of varied and interesting agriculture Saxony descends to the great Northern Plain of Europe an important agricultural area. Arable crops are very evident with smaller producers producing wine, fruit & vegetables. Interesting enterprises include brandy & fruit liquor production & organic food production in the Spreewald region. We also visit larger establishments with dairy cattle, pigs and on one property with 4 biogas plants.
Just a few lines to say a big thank you for a very enjoyable tour to Germany.
Germany is certainly a lovely country, so clean and tidy and beautiful scenery. We were very impressed with the farms we visited and certainly took a few ideas home with us!
