We are particularly excited to unveil the details of next year's river cruise which is Castles of Bohemia!!

Bohemia is an historic name for what was a very wealthy area of Europe, mainly encompassing Czechia (formerly the Czech Republic). Silver mining and successful agriculture made for a strong economy and it was a thriving hub of the Roman empire. This is why the area has so much beautiful architecture and so many stunning castles to admire,Ā as we cruise the Elbe and Vtlava Rivers. Visiting the historic cities of Prague and Dresden in addition to iconic castles of the region. Our three-night stay in Brno, before the cruise gives us the opportunity to explore some of the agriculture in the area before boarding our beautiful river cruise ship for 6-nights.

Sightseeing

There is something for everyone on this tour. Excursions are to top destinations set in idyllic landscapes along the Elbe and Vltava Rivers. We’ll visit Prague and Dresden, cities that exude charm and boast a rich cultural and architectural history. The castles of Bohemia are symbols of the nobility and aristocracy of this region and house many surprising works of art.

There will also be time to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery during times of daytime sailing along the Vltava and Elbe rivers, as we sail by charming villages and the picturesque countryside of Bohemia.

Excursions include are Konopiste Castle, Old Town Prague and Castle Quarter, Nelahozeves Castle and a full day excursion to Dresden. The nature of the 6-night river cruise does allow you the opportunity of remaining on board the ship whenever you choose, should you wish for a more relaxed experience.

Agriculture

In this intriguing region there is both privately owned farms and cooperatives, some dating back to the communist era.

Interesting agricultural visits before our cruise include a 900 milking goat farm with their own dairy, a privately owned horse farm, where they have their own dairy and processing plant.

We have also arranged a visit to a large arable concern growing wheat, maize, barley, rape, sugar beet and fodder as well as having its own biogas units
