The Isle of Man is a rugged, medieval and rural Island with a mountainous centre and is situated in the middle of the Irish Sea almost equidistant from England to the east, Northern Ireland to the west and Scotland (closest) to the north.  It is 32 miles long and 14 miles wide at its widest point.
Although it is situated in the centre of the British Isles, it is not part of the United Kingdom and is instead an internally, self-governing dependent territory of the Crown.

Agriculture

The Isle of Man utilises up to 75 percent of it's land for agriculture and is supported by the Agricultural Development Scheme. The land varies with rich soils in the south and thinner soils in the central uplands which helps support extensive beef and sheep farming. The flat northern plains are ideal for arable and vegetable productions.

A Highlight

Despite its small size, the island has an abundance of unique and historical attractions. Castle Rushen is one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval castles as well as one of the largest working waterwheels known as The Laxey Wheel, which, in it's long history, used to pump water up out of the mines to prevent flooding.

Your Hotel

For the duration of our tour we will be staying at the Comis Hotel & Golf Resort. This hotel is set in beautiful grounds from which the Isle of Man's stunning scenery can be admired, providing excellent facilities and delicious food in an exquisite setting.

Now I have got my feet back on the ground after a

truly marvellous tour

I wanted to write and thank all involved at Bay Farm Tours. The itinerary was absolutely spot on and there was something new every day.

The organisation was excellent and the whole group gelled so well, which made it even better.

I am sure we made life long friends forever from the tour.
