Agriculture
We visit several working farms/ranches in Alberta and British Columbia, which will give a good overall picture of Canadian Agriculture in general. These include farms/ranches in the more densely populated area close to Calgary in Alberta, as well as a large working ranch high in the Rockies, and the lush Fraser Valley.
We visit a big feedlot and ranch to the south of Calgary where we see ranching on the extreme edge of the western Prairie, with the mighty Rocky Mountains to the west and the distant horizon of the Prairie to the east. As we cross the mountains we also visit a larger cattle ranch where the cowboys still drive the cattle away to higher grazing from the home ranch and stay at summer camps throughout the summer.
Just for you
As we stay in many hotels for more than one night it is possible for anybody wishing to follow their own interests when the group returns to the same hotel, to do so, whether it is staying in the town/city to see the sights, attractions and shops, visiting friends and relatives, or just taking time off the tour.
We can also tailor-make travel arrangements for anybody wishing to extend their stay at the beginning or end of the tour who might want to visit friends or relatives.
