We are very pleased to be offering our ever-popular Tulip Cruise tour in 2022. This cruise allows you to enjoy the sights and sounds of this area of Europe from the comfort and luxury of your cruise vessel, whilst meandering in and around the canals and rivers of the Netherlands and Belgium. We begin with a 2-night stay in Almere in the Netherlands and explore this rich agricultural area before joining the cruise in Amsterdam.

Agriculture
The Netherlands have, in the past, supplied one quarter of all the world’s exported tomatoes. In 2000 a national commitment was made to sustainable agriculture with the motto ‘Twice as much food using half as many resources.’ True to their word they have drastically reduced the use of chemical pesticides particularly in greenhouses. More than half of the nation’s land area is used for agriculture and horticulture using high-tech systems.

Highlights
The Netherlands is renowned for their flowers and we are exceptionally lucky to be able to visit Floriade Expo 2022, Hollands once in a decade horticultural show which is taking place in Almere during our stay. The theme for the exhibition is “Growing Green Cities”.
Visits will be made to interesting medieval cities such as Antwerp and Bruges. Exclusive for Bay Farm Tours clients is a visit to the New Holland factory in Zedelgem Belgium. Having enjoyed the windmill village of Kinderdijk and the famous Keukenhof Gardens our cruise returns to Amsterdam where we disembark.
