Our journey takes us north through the magnificent Highlands, then along the North Coast to Gill's Bay, where we catch the ferry to Orkney. This is an area steeped in history with many ancient wonders and more recent World War 2 history, in addition to excellent agriculture, crystal clear waters, big skies and interesting wildlife.
