South Africa's wildlife and game reserves have an unrivalled variety of animal and bird species and we are staying for 2 nights in luxury chalets in the magnificent 25,000-acre, malaria free, Kariega Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape.
We include 3 game drives, and hope to see the Big 5 - elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino, from the comfort of an open game drive vehicle. Throughout the tour there are also a multitude of other animals and birds to see in their natural environment. When in Hermanus we hope to see Southern Right Whales, which swim very close to the rocky shoreline.

Agriculture
As a result of the advantageous and varied climatic conditions of South Africa, the agriculture of the country is diverse and interesting. Our itinerary of visits will include traditional visits associated with dairy, beef, sheep and arable farming, in addition to more unusual enterprises such as an ostrich and an abalone shellfish farm.
The Western Cape is famed for its fruit orchards and wine production, we stay for one night at a wine estate close to Stellenbosch, in a beautiful spa hotel. Our stay allows time for a relaxed tour around the farming/cultivation side of the vineyard, in addition to a close look at the wine production.
to sample some of the wine produced at the vineyard with a tasting.
Our Hotels
Throughout the tour we stay in the best of hotels. Offering rooms with private bathroom and modern facilities, and an excellent array and choice of food, for both breakfast and evening dinner. Breakfast and evening dinner are included on the tour every day, as are many lunches.
Even when visiting Kariega Game Reserve our accommodation will be in a 4* quality lodge with restaurant, bar, free Wi-Fi, pool, spa and boma, with the individual log chalets offering satellite TV, air conditioning and their own private viewing deck. For the optional extension to Livingstone, Zambia the accommodation is a beautiful resort hotel, within walking distance of the thundering Victoria Falls.
