The Lake District is England's largest National Park, with 12 of the largest bodies of water also found here, it is one of the most beautiful parts of the world, not just England.
Lancashire boasts some of the best dairy herds in the country in addition to other interesting agricultural enterprises. We also have beautiful rolling countryside, verdant valleys and a coastline which boasts some of the best bird watching and beautiful sun sets in the country. Agriculture

Whether we are visiting a sheep milking farm on the upper moorlands of Lancashire, or a mixed farm in the Lake District with laying hens, beef cattle and pedigree sheep, there will be something for every taste.

Each county is unique, North Lancashire, is primarily livestock and dairy with over 80% of the total agricultural area temporary and permanent grassland or rough grazing headings.

The Lake District is such a diverse landscape and farmers work in some of the most challenging land in the county

Sightseeing

We take time to visit Lancaster Castle – a unique and captivating medieval fortress with a long history going back to the 11th century when it is thought the Castle was built on an old Roman Fortress. Until 2011 it was a fully functioning HM Prison, but has now been returned to the city so that visitors can enjoy its splendour and obtain a real insight into its dark and turbulent past.

Our Hotel

Our hotel is situated close to Kendal, in the Lake District, enjoying an elevated position with easy access from Junction 37 of the M6. Castle Green Hotel is also easily accessible from Kendal town centre and railway station if you decide to travel by train.

All rooms are en-suite and have in room tea & coffee making facilities. There is free Wi-Fi and, if you are travelling by car, there is ample free onsite parking.

Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Having booked with slight trepidation about joining an organised tour, we are now absolute converts! I am sure you will be seeing us again, and soon!

Your organisation and attention to detail was First class -catering for each and every whim!

The hotels were excellent and you took us to places we would never have been able to visit on our own.
