Special Highlight
Our tour takes us along the Danube Valley, where we pass through an area of land, with livestock and arable farms dotting the landscape. This region has some of the most productive farmland in the whole of Austria. Here we visit a dairy farm where they have Holstein and Simmental cows before boarding a river cruise travelling upstream on the Danube.
Austrian Agriculture
Farming and agriculture in Austria are very regionalised. Milk, dairy products and beef are supplied by the hill farms, wheat and other crops are grown in the eastern lowlands and wine pours from the vineyards in lower Austria and the Burgenland.
We visit typical Austrian farmsteads in the mountainous region surrounding Wolfgangsee, plus a contrasting farm visit in the productive Danube valley. Our tour combines excellent sightseeing at a relaxed pace, with several fascinating agricultural visits in the region.

We were very impressed with the tour. The organisation and content
exceeded our expectations.
The effort you put into ensure everything went so smoothly did not go unnoticed. This was the first fully escorted tour we have been on but when we arrived home the most important piece of post waiting for us was the Bay Farm Tours brochure, so we have already started
planning the next one!
